Fireworks seized

BRANDON TWP -- Oakland County Sheriff's Office deputies seized two boxes of fireworks and took a 28-year-old Holly man into custody June 23 following a traffic stop on Oakwood Road near Deana Marie Street. According to reports, deputies clocked the man's Jeep at 55 p.m. in a construction zone posted 30 mph. They discovered the man was being sought by police in Fenton on a warrant charing him with failure to appear for sentencing for an earlier conviction for operating while intoxicated. The man also had two boxes of fireworks he'd purchased in Ohio, according to reports.

Suspect sought

BRANDON TWP -- Oakland County Sheriff's Office deputies are looking for a 20-year-old Brandon Township man who reportedly ran off following a traffic stop June 23 on South Baldwin Road near Howland Pines Drive. Deputies said they clocked the man's 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt at 74 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputies cited the three passengers, a 19-year-old North Branch man, a 16-year-old Brandon Township girl and a 15-year-old Orion girl with minors in possession of alcohol and juvenile curfew violation. Deputies said the driver dropped his cell phone as he fled the car. They also reported finding two grams of marijuana in the car.

Marijuana ticket

BRANDON TWP -- Oakland County Sheriff's Office deputies cited a 19-year-old man for possession of marijuana June 18 following a traffic stop on East Glass Road near Voila Drive. Deputies seized two glass pipes and a silver grinder containing what field tested at two grams of marijuana.
